I came to Holland to work with Stardust Theatre Productions. Our first show together was "The Sound of Motown". This would be the beginning of something magical. I went on to do two more shows with Stardust, "Glory of Gospel" and "Mahalia - Sing Sister Sing". In the course of this, I was the featured Gospel singer in the Dutch movie "Abeltje, The Flying Liftboy". I released my first dance single titled "No One's Gonna Love You" (Black Beans Label). Two of my colleagues Gabrielle Lee and Sonja Rogers created a group called "Black Diamonds". We toured Holland's club scene.

Upon going back to the states for a so-called vacation, I had the opportunity to sing background for Diana Ross and Michael Bolton. I was asked to choreograph a musical that is such a pioneer in the black arts "Black Nativity". I was going on the road to Germany once again. This time it starred one of Gospel music's Icons, Jessy Dixon. The director was none other than Alberta Bradford, the Gospel legend. In 2000, I joined the cast of  "R.E.S.P.E.C.T". My span with this show lasted for 2 seasons. I had this yearning to return to my roots so I founded my own gospel group called "The Sounds of Faith". This was my way of staying true to me and giving thanks.

Now, 2002 was a year of new beginnings and windows of opportunities. I was offered the role of Shenzi in "The Lion King", which was to debut in Germany. I decided not to accept because I was asked to join forces with Rocq-e Harrell and Lucretia van der Vloot. Thus, "Big, Black and Beautiful" was born. Once again my life was redefined. This show pays homage to Girl Groups from the 50’s to this present time. This clearly has been a highlight of my career. I reunited myself with Stardust Productions and during the Christmas season we did several concerts called "The New York Spirit Christmas Proms". Our final performance was at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam.

I can say that 2003 was a year of triumphs. I joined the band called "Flowriders". We performed at the North Sea Jazz Festival, which was nothing short of amazing. We also released our first single on the 4lux label entitled "Different Spaces". I also gave my own concert for Cozy Corner at the Bitterzoet in Amsterdam. It gave me the chance to debut some of my original music. The concert was given the number 2 slot in the OOR Magazine by Kees Smallegange for the best concert for 2003. Nevertheless, my greatest accomplishments would have to be my children Donald Jr., Donielle and Arielle.

They keep the woman that I am grounded.
